The Branch of State Bank of India and Post-office are operated within the University Campus. For Girls the University Bus Service from and to the Sagar city. Facility for Railway Concession is available to students. Railway Concession Warrants are available at the office of Dean Students Welfare.

For multipurpose development of students and for nurturing and developing their creativity this development is functioning in this University.
 
3. PHYSICAL- EDUCATION & SPORTS:
 
For the development of games and sports activities in the University Teaching Department Physical Education Department is providing its services.

In the University teaching department three branches ofN.C.C. are functioning.

5. NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME:
 
Two units of N .S.S. are established in the University. This Scheme is aimed at inculcating the spirit of Social Service in them.
 
6. FREESHIP:
 
As per rule University provides freeship or half-fee facility to a fixed percentage of the total strength of student strength. Deserving but financially incapable students are exempted totally or charged 50% fee only. Applicants should submit their applications before the prescribed dates.
 
7. STUDENT WELFARE FUND:
 
Poor students whose exam. results are satisfactory can apply for help from this fund.
 
8. EMPLOYMENT SCHEME & GUIDANCE CENTRE:
 
This centre is situated on the University Campus behind the Mathematics Department. Summary of
the main activities of this centre is as follows:
 
1. Registration facility for successful postgraduate students in securing employment.
2  Information and Guidance about employment opportunities to University students.
3. Providing the information to students about various Higher-Education Courses in India and abroad. 4. Compilation and publicity of information from India and abroad about various professions, scholarships, Research Fellowships, and Financial Assistance.
5. Individual Group discussion with respect to Job selection or choice of choosing attractive subjects. 6. Providing professional guidance to students.
7. Making proper arrangement for Professional Information’s Room and suitable literature on Guidance
   at the centre for providing professional & Educational Guidance to students.
8.Providing information about different Competitive Exams. conducted by different Public Service Commissions.
 
9. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU LIBRARY:
 
Central Library of the University was established in 1946 in 1965 this was named as Jawaharlal Nehru Library. Apart from this there are Departmental Library for Post-Graduate classes which are situated in Departmental buildings. These are more than 3 lakh books and Periodical & including Important Reference books, Text Books, Other Related books, board volumes of monthly papers, Accepted Ph.D. thesis Microfilms: and personal collections of Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour.
 
10. RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES:
 
There are five Hostels in the University, namely: Tagore, Vivekanand, Raman, Bhaba and Nivadita, There are 168 rooms each in Tagore and Vivekanand Hostels,50 rooms in Raman Hostel ~nd 24 in Bhaba Hostel. 250 Girls can be accomodated in Nivedita Hostel. In every hostel the rooms are double seated. In Bhaba Hostel only research scholars are accomodated.
 
Eligibility for Hostel Admission:
 
Only regular students of the University teaching departments and Research scholars are given admission in the Hostel
 
(a) Only Regular students of University Teaching Departments & Research Scholars wiil be given admission in the University hostel. Students who have failed those who did, not appear in eams./ earlier expelled from the hostel/ those found guilty in serious cases of Indiscipline in the previous years will not be admitted. Students against  whom criminal proceedings are pending either in police station / court of Law will neither be admitted nor their admissions renewed.
 
(b) Those passing (10+2) classes will be eligible for admission in the hostel only for 6 years. The Research scholars will be admitted in Bhaba Hostel provided these are any vacancies. Those students whose parents/Guardians are from Sagar or University Campus will not be given admission in the hostel.
 
Application Forms:
 
Completed Application forms will be accepted till 15 days after the declaration of the result of qualifying examination. The relevant applications form, duly completed should be submitted in the hostel office before the last date together with self attested copies of (10+2) mark sheets/mark sheets of the last examination passed. It is necessary that a passport size photograph of the student is also enclosed. Incomplete application forms will be rejected.
 
Priority In Admission:
 
For every class and subject there are fixed seats for Hostel admission. The admission is given according to the merit achieved by the candidate in his/her last examination. For courses where entrance examination is held admission is given according to the merit list of the entrance examination held. It is not obligatory to provide Hostel admission to all students whose names appear in the merit list,
 
(1) When there are no cases (Refer points (a) &. (b) above) against the applicants Hostel admission will be given on the basis of priority .
 
(2) Students of SC/ST category will be given admission in the rooms reserved for them Applications .from these categories will be accepted throught the Deputy Director, Tribal Welfare Department.
 
(3) Physically handicapped students/ wards of the Defence Personnel who have been transferred in the middle of the academic session and students sponsored through state governments are given admission as per the quota reserved for them.
 
(4) Hostelers against whom Hostel fees is due from the previous session! those who change their faculty (from B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. shifting over to Library Science, Journalism, M.B.A.) will not be eligible for renewal of their admission. After change of Faculty their application for hostel admission will be considered as per rules only.
 
(5) In case of change of Faculty/subject by the student in the middle of the term Hostel admission will be cancelled and his application will be reconsidered as per rules.
 
Admission:
 
Hostel admission begins from the date declared by the hostel administration. Once the Hostel office has published the admission list the students are supposed to deposit the required fee & present the receipt in the Hostel office. Those students who are being admitted for the first time in the hostel must come with their parents/Guardians; only then they will be allotted the rooms. In such cases on the written request of the student the 10 day period can be extended up to 15 days. Before the allotment student will have to submit two passport size photographs in the Hostel office. Before occupying the hostel accomodation the student will also have to sign a declaration towards obeying the Hostel rules.
 
Hostel Rules:
 
(1) With the new session all the previous Hostel allotment will be cancelled. P .G. Final Year & Law Final Year students will have to vacate the hostel rooms & hand over to the Hostel administration otherwise their examination results will be withheld.
(2) Student cannot make any change in their hostel room allotment without prior permission. Persons living in the hostel unauthorised will be hand over to the police. Allotment of the Hostler who is giving shelter to such a person will also be cancelled.
 
(3) Hostel allotment will be cancelled if the required fee is not deposited. For re admission a fine of Rs. 25/ - will also be charged together with the fee amount due from him. During Summer Vacation, before leaving the room and all the material supplied by the Hostel administration will have to be handed over to the Warden/Hostel Superintendent.
 
(4) Hostellers will be expelled if they indulge in breaking the Hostel Rules, Misbehaving with Hostel authorities employees, indiscipline, damaging the Hostel property, fighting among themselves, using toxic & intoxicating substances and possessing dangerous weapons, If necessary legal action will be taken against them, Those students promoting and instigating indiscipline will also be expelled.
 
(5) Use of electric heater for cooking is forbidden. Apart from what students pay towards the electricity changes, towards the end of the term excess electricity charges of any amount will have to be shared & paid by the hostlers. For any valuables that the hosteler keep with them in their rooms will be on their own responsibility.
 
Facilities:
 
Hostel administration will provide cot, Chair, table, Dookshelf, alrnirah & electric fitting for every hostler. T.V., reading room, magazines, news papers, sports material are provided in the Common room. Sports ground is available in the hostel campus. University provides block servants for cleaning the rooms & sweepers for cleaning the toilets & campus. There is telephone facility available in every hostel.
 
If the hostelers desire any more facility that provided by the University they should take prior approval from the Hostel administration. If such personal facilities are arranged by the hostler without the prior approval these will be immediately stopped & the items will be confiscated. It is not permitted to take any personal work from the block servants.
 
Food Arrangement:
 
In every hostel there is a Kitchen and dining room. Co-operative mess for the hostlers may be run by themselves. Hoste1 administration provides furniture, utensils, water, kitchen & a dining room. In case of themselves. Hostel administration provides furniture, utensils, water, kitchen & a dining room. In case of any dispute the decision of the warden will be final and binding.
