Highlights/Special Achievements
Several
teachers of the department made academic visits, attended International
conferences and chaired sessions within and outside the country and got awards
for their achievements. The department has also started M.Sc. (Industrial
Chemistry) and P.G. Diploma in Petrochemicals. Practicals at M.Sc. level
include General Chemistry (Synthesis of Organic and Inorganic
Compounds, Extractions and Spectroscopy) and related to Optional Papers
(Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Physical). M.Sc. (Industrial) Practicals
include Synthesis, Extractions, Estimations. The Course includes Practicals
from Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Physical Portions and a Project. B.Sc.
(Honors) Course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is also being started from this
Session (2008).
